Day 2 in Dubai is a wonderful day to be penned down. It was this day that we actually felt that we were in Dubai because we visited some of the world's best places on this day. Early morning we drove to the longest & the most Hi-Fi road of Dubai called the Sheikh Zayed Road. Lined with Sky scrapers on either side, it is the most happening place of Dubai.

We reached Downtown Dubai and stopped at the parking of the largest Shopping mall of the world called the Dubai Mall. Dubai mall was one place which had everything on God's earth in it. It has more than 1,000 shops and also has access to the world's tallest building called Burj Khalifa.
Once inside the mall, we walked around looking into some of the shops and taking pictures. We spent an hour or so in this way and then reached the ground floor of the mall which housed the Food court. We sipped some Cappuccino here and then queued up to make our visit to the centerpiece of Dubai called the Burj Khalifa.

It was a dream come true to board the fastest lift in the world to reach the 124th floor of the tallest building in a few seconds where the observatory deck is stationed and we spent an hour here taking pictures and watching the spectacular views of the landscape provided from this heavenly place.

Once back into the Dubai mall, we lunched on Mughlai Indian food and then proceeded to see more shops in the mall before reaching the Dubai Aquarium and the Underwater Zoo.
Dubai Aquarium is the largest aquarium in the world with more than 30,000 species of aquatic animals living inside. A truly mesmerizing experience because you walk into a dark tunnel with dim lights only walled by water on either side in which sharks and several fish species swim through. The underwater Zoo journeyed through three eco-zones: rainforest, rocky shore and living ocean, and a total of 38 aquatic displays. There are lots of rare and interesting species displayed in the underwater zoo and I enjoyed the experience thoroughly.
Once out of the Aquarium, we enjoyed yummy melt -in-mouth Cheesecake at the world's tastiest place called the Cheesecake factory and then proceeded to have a quick look at the Ice rink where we saw people of all ages skating happily on it.

And then we went to the ground floor to witness the most splendid evenings at the outdoor area of the Dubai mall along the Dubai fountain lake and watched the lovely glimpses the fountain provided.

We were so tired by now and finally made our way back to the car . Still we drove towards another popular mall called the Ibn Batuta mall named after the historical traveler Ibn Batuta. This was a small mall having 7 types of courts in it with shops all over. We dined in one of the good restaurants at this mall and left back after a tedious day for a good night's sleep to mark the end of a fabulous day 2.
