Palak Chicken (Spinach Chicken)

 INGREDIENTS:
Spinach/Palak Chicken



1 Kg Chicken
2 bunches chopped spinach
2 tomatoes - chopped
2 onions
2 green chillies
10 cloves garlic
2 tbsp chopped ginger
1 tbsp chilli powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
1/4 tsp haldi powder
Salt to taste
4-6 tbsp Oil/ clarified Butter
100 gms fresh cream

HOW TO MAKE:

1) Boil the spinach leaves in hot water for about 10 minutes. Cool and blend to a smooth paste. Keep aside.

2) Blend together the chopped onions,tomatoes , ginger and garlic and the green chillies and keep aside.

3)  Heat oil/clarified butter in a pan, add the onion-tomato paste and fry it for 5-10 minutes. Add the chicken pieces and continue to cook till dry.

4) Then add the spinach paste and the spice powders and cook till done and the oil comes up.

5)  Garnish with some cream and serve hot with bread/parathas/rice.

** You can make use of boneless chicken also for this dish.

** Another variation to this dish can be to use the spinach leaves without blending.
