Chicken Jalfrezi


INGREDIENTS:

400 gm boneless chicken cubed or cut into strips
2 tbsp oil
2 onions sliced
2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup yogurt
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
3 green bell peppers (capsicum) -cubed
2 tomatoes
3 green chillies
For the marinade:

2 tsp garlic
2 tsp ginger
2 tsp salt
2 tsp garam masala
2 tsp coriander powder
2 tsp cumin powder
3 tbsp yogurt

HOW TO MAKE:
1)  Marinate the chicken with the marinade ingredients and refirigerate it for atleast an hour.

2)  Grind into a fine paste the tomatoes, green chillies together. Keep this paste aside.


3)  Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions & the green peppers till soft. Remove from the pan and keep aside.


4) In the same oil, add the chicken and fry till the chicken is soft and dry.. Remove the chicken from the oil and keep aside.

5)  In the same oil, add some red chilli powder, the marinade and continue frying. Then add the chicken and some water. Cook for 5 minutes. 
6)  Then add some yogurt and the fried onions along with the ground paste. Cook till dry.
7) Add the green peppers and cook for 1-2 minutes.

8) Garnish with coriander leaves.
