1 cup basmati rice
1/2 onion sliced
2 green cardamoms
2 Cloves
4 cups water
1/2 teapsoon Ginger-Garlic Paste
1/4 cup Peas
2 Sprigs Mint Leaves
1 Fist Coriander leaves chopped
2 Green Chillies
Salt to Taste
1 Tablespoon Oil
1/2 teaspoon Ghee
For Garnishing: 1 large onion finely sliced and fried crisp
HOW TO MAKE:
1) Wash rice, drain and keep aside.
2) Heat Oil and Ghee in a pan, add the whole spices and the sliced onion along with mint leaves to this. Fry till the onions are light golden.
3) Add the Ginger-Garlic Paste, salt, Green chillies and the peas. Fry for a minute and add the water. Bring it to a boil. Add the coriander leaves & Rice and cook on low flame till the water is absorbed by the rice.
4) When the rice is cooked leave it to stand for about 10 mins and then remove the rice into a large servng dish and fluff with a fork.

RATING POINTS : 9/10**
** The rice should not be overcooked as it takes away the charm of this dish. It should retain its firmness and length. This can be managed by using the right amount of water.
