Pepper-Cumin Biscuits

Here is a recipe for the Pepper-Cumin Biscuits.


INGREDIENTS:


1 Full Cup of Butter (at room temperature)
1/4 cup of powdered sugar
1 egg
2 cups of All Purpose Flour / Maida
1 tsp of baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/4-1/2 tsp coarsely ground pepper
3/4 tsp cumin powder or whole cumin seeds


Makes about 40 cookies


HOW TO MAKE:


1) Bring the unsalted butter to room temperature and blend it with the powdered sugar for a minute. Then add the egg to this mix and blend it for 5 minutes atleast in the blender.






2) Sieve flour,baking soda and salt together and add the coarsely ground pepper and cumin seeds to this and keep it aside.






3) Mix the butter mix with this flour mix and make a soft dough.






4) On a rolling board, roll this dough roughly and make desired shapes. Arrange these on a baking tray.












6) Preheat oven at 190 degrees celsius. Bake the biscuits for 15 minutes and cool them on a wire rack.
